NEW: The Convents of Padre Pio
St. Pio of Pietrelcina was a Capuchin priest famed throughout the world for having received the stigmata of Christ on his hands, feet, and side. He was born in Pietrelcina (near Benevento) and died in San Giovanni Rotondo (near Foggia).
While most pilgrimages limit itineraries to these two sites in his Capuchin Province of Sant'Angelo and Foggia, he lived in ten other convents. All the cells have been preserved to look the way they did when he was there in the early 20th century. Each site also has a museum with relics and other artefacts from his life.
On a four-day journey, we will lead you from Pietrelcina to San Giovanni Rotondo as we explore several of the more important sites in between. You will visit: Morcone, where he made his novitiate; Sant'Elia a Pianisi, where he studied philosophy and began experiencing supernatural phenomena and spiritual attacks; Foggia, where the devil began assaulting him physically; and more.
If you feel drawn to Padre Pio, this is the journey of a lifetime.
